In 2016 and 2017, Michele led two dynamic workshops describing grant resources for agriculture. There are many grantmaking programs that support sustainable energy, innovative crop production, or agricultural education. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is the authority on these programs, offering assistance through the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), REAP (Rural Energy Assistance Program) and Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE).
