Both LCT Energy and Corsa Coal Corp. received funding from the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund. LCT was given $500,000 towards their Laurel Rail Loop project in Shade Township that will reinstall nearly 18,000 feet of railroad track and two railroad crossings in Shade Township. This restored track will service a coal preparation facility. Corsa Coal received $250,000 to rehabilitate rail at its Cambria Prep Plan in Stonycreek Township to provide a safer coal transportation method. A huge thanks goes to Senator Pat Stefano and Representative Carl Metzgar to making these projects a reality.
